The films will be shown on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm in White Hall 208 on the Emory campus.  All films will be projected in 35 mm (except where noted). Hope you can join us!

September 12: METROPOLIS (Fritz Lang, 1927), complete and restored edition (projected from Blu-ray)

October 3: THE TINGLER (William Castle, 1959), with special guest (and special live theater effects) by Bruce Goldstein of NYC’s Film Forum

October 10: DESTINATION MOON (Irving Pichel, 1950)

October 17: LA BELLE ET LA BETE (Beauty and the Beast, Jean Cocteau, 1946), in French with subtitles

October 24: GODZILLA (Gojira, Ishiro Honda, 1954), restored Japanese-language version with subtitles

October 31: JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS (Don Chaffey, 1963)

November 7: 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (Stanley Kubrick, 1968)

November 14: An Evening with Claire Denis, with her film WHITE MATERIAL (2009), a special film event separate from the “Movie Magic” theme

November 28: BRAZIL (Terry Gilliam, 1985)

December 5: THE HOST (Gwoemul, Bong, Joon-ho, 2006), in Korean with subtitles
